Will Fender USA Parts Fit A Fender Japan Stratocaster?
i have a 1994 Fender Stratocaster MIJ and i wanted to change most of it’s electronics on the guitar.
i want to change the 250k pots, pickups and 5 way selector to a genuine USA version of the parts.
will they fit??? and if you have any more info on what i can do about this then please let me know.
best answer wins 10 points.
Cheers.
In general, yes.
The one thing I would give you a heads up on is the cutouts in the pick guard for the pickups. If you’re staying with Fender pickups, you’ll probably be OK. However, if you go to Duncan or another aftermarket pickup, then you might have to enlarge the holes a bit. I found that on a US made strat when I changed out the pickups.
